Product description for Le Masse Camporella Orange IGT 2022 (bio)
The wine is based on 100% Trebbiano. After the manual harvest, fermentation takes place in 800-liter terracotta amphorae. Only natural yeasts from the vineyard are used, and the temperature is not regulated. After two months of fermentation and maceration on the skins, the grapes are racked. The wine is then allowed to continue aging in the same amphorae for a further six months. A minimum of four months in the bottle follows before release.
Dark, sparkling orange with golden and light reflections, slightly cloudy.
The nose of the Camporella is characterized by spice and earthiness with subtle fruit. This can be described as abundant peach and tangerine peel with their bitter-fresh skin. Delicate smoky notes are reminiscent of firewood and the scent of a campfire the following day. The earthiness can be found in the forest floor and undergrowth. Cedarwood alongside light tobacco leaves is exemplary. Pepper, juniper, but also rosemary and sage provide a balanced spice.
It begins with a powerful and juicy build-up. At the same time, it is refreshing and austere. The fluctuation between the two worlds is significant. Its acidity is structured, essential, and well-integrated, ranging from positively nervy to stimulating. The aromas of the nose reveal all their facets in the finish: both the tart, intense fruit and its spicy, intense side.
