Nose

The Radica Rosso from the 2023 vintage has an intensely fruity and dark aroma. It reveals a fruit mix of sweet cherry, blackberry, and morello cherry, as well as, above all, dark, floral aromas. Violets, pansies, and hibiscus can be detected. Fruit and blossom interact wonderfully. Behind these are blue accents reminiscent of plum and reindeer. This fruit shines through its marriage with the stones, creating an almond-like character. On the spicy side, it presents juniper, allspice, and pepper. In green, it also reveals hints of pyrazine and branches. Currant bush wood, undergrowth, and branches. Rosemary, mint, and eucalyptus complement this with refreshing, herbal elements. Overall, the Radica Rosso impresses with its finesse.

Palate

On the palate, it displays neither tannin nor the use of wood. Instead, it is characterized by a racy acid structure. This wine from Etna in Milo is taut, elegant, and cool. It appears silky smooth. Robust, yet not expansive. Stony and mineral, like basalt from the Eifel region. A tart note gives it a certain edge. Once you overcome this moment, the fruit reappears. Crisp and fresh. Morello cherry, sour cherry, red currant, and plenty of drinking animation. The spices and herbs of the nose dominate the finish.
