Wine Information

The hand-picked grapes were spontaneously fermented in local oak barrels and then bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Colour

Muted cranberry red with purple highlights towards the rim.

Nose

Pure freshness and juiciness rise from the glass; wild raspberries, sour cherries, and pomegranate combine with fruit drops and cool minerality to create a beguiling whole. Fine notes of undergrowth, earth, and delicate mushrooms also emerge beautifully upon contact with oxygen.

Palate

The 2022 Dernauer Spätburgunder dances on the tongue with its refreshing fruit, fine minerality, and moderate alcohol content of just 11.5% vol. Its acidity and tannin structure are extremely refined and elegantly rounded. Dishes with fruity notes are a trump card. Enjoy slightly chilled in Burgundy glasses.
