Description
The Domaine Thomas Morey is located in Chassagne-Montrachet. Thomas and his wife Sylvie cultivate around 13 hectares in the appellations of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet, Maranges, Santenay, Saint-Aubin, and Beaune. The Moreys are the 10th generation of winemakers in Chassagne. In 2006, they decided to go into business for themselves. In 2014, they decided to have the farm certified organic. Thomas can largely work with old vines from the 1950s and 1960s. New plants are planted from sélections massales of old vines. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation is used without exception, the proportion of new wood is around 20 %, and minimal sulphur is added.
