The winery of Sabine and Felix Eichbauer, owners of the Munich restaurant Tantris, is located in the south-eastern part of the municipality of Montalcino. A place of wild beauty whose first settlement is lost in the darkness of history. The name Salicutti derives from the stream of the same name that borders the estate to the south. When Francesco Leanza reclaimed the surrounding land some 30 years ago, no one knew Salicutti to be the cradle of a great terroir. The vineyards Teatro, Sorgente, and Piaggione, which surround the house, can be cultivated individually and exclusively with biodynamic methods thanks to the short distances. All the vineyards are classified as 100 percent Brunello di Montalcino sites due to their quality. This makes Salicutti an outstandingly privileged winery, even among the renowned wineries of the region.
