They are strongly reminiscent of great Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines. And that is no coincidence, because after his studies he worked at Château de Beaucastel. Even today, Claude Gouan, no less than the winemaker of this world-famous winery, is his mentor. He not only assists Philippe with advice and support, but also has a stake in the winery. He was the one who advised him to buy the excellent vineyards around Barroux. The complex soil structure and the special climate make his wines unique.
