Description
In the immediate vicinity of Biondi-Santi, South Tyrolean winemaker Caroline Pobitzer and her German husband, oenologist Jan Hendrik Erbach, have settled on this venerable terroir. The soils offer ideal conditions for Sangiovese to develop complex, finesse-rich wines full of depth. The four different sites require very individual work in the vineyards and during vinification. With the precision of a Swiss watch, Jan manages to conjure up the entire diversity of the terroir of his 6.5 hectares of vineyards into his wines. The freshness of his wines never ceases to delight. This style shows a whole new potential of Sangiovese grosso: juicy, full-bodied wines full of melting and delicate tannins.
Free yourself from the convenient tyranny of other people’s tasting notes! We encourage you to find out about the wines from the producers themselves by visiting their website.
