Description
Jérôme Blin belongs to a family that has been making wine in Champagne since the 16th century. His home is Vincelles, above Château-Tierry in the Vallée de la Marne. Jérôme’s grandfather founded the H. Blin cooperative in Vincelles in 1947. Jérôme initially left the region to study agricultural and food technology, but then returned to take over his parents’ vineyard. In 2010, he converted the six-hectare farm to organic viticulture, and since 2018 he has been using biodynamic methods. He uses only 10% of the grapes to produce around 7,000 bottles a year. Meunier is planted on about 70% of the vineyard, the rest is planted with half each Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The lively Jérôme produces exceptionally fine, sometimes delicate, precise champagnes that capture the charm of the Meunier in this part of the Champagne region very well.
