Description
Cyril Jeaunaux is the third generation of his family to grow grapes and converted to biodynamic propertying in 2015. In the very south of the Côte des Blancs, on the Petit Morin river, lies the village of Tallus Les Prix. Here, Champagne is still truly rural. Nothing suggests luxury or jet-set. Due to cool air from the surrounding hills, the vineyards in the valley are at risk of late frost. The Pinot Meunier, which dominates here, is best adapted to this. A small portion of the grapes comes from the Côte des Bar, where Cyril still cultivates one hectare of vineyards. The wines are aged in used barriques. Maloloactic fermentation is avoided if possible. Here, very individual and honest champagnes are created that combine animating acidity, minerality, and drinkability.
