Description
What Gernot and Heike have built up in recent years is more than remarkable! He started with one hectare of his own and now cultivates over 100 hectares of vineyards around Gols and on the Leithaberg. All the vineyards are farmed biodynamically. Years ago, Gernot realized the potential of the Gols vineyards with the legendary Salzberg, but also with the Pannobile. He has always had his eye on the Leithaberg from Gols. He also started buying grapes from there early on, but it was only in 2006 that he was able to acquire the vineyards from his grape supplier. In the cellar, everything is set up so that grapes and wines can be processed as gently as possible. Fermentation and ageing are mostly done in wood and more and more often in amphorae. Even the whites are often mash-fermented and hardly sulphurised, yet they have the typical Heinrich precision and purity.
