The 2023 Grüner Veltliner Natural is spontaneously fermented from whole, destemmed berries, staying on skins for around four months before gentle basket pressing. The golden wine has a subtle veil of sediment and notions of russet pear peel with an orange peel overtone. The palate is fluid and has a fine, almost crunchy phenolic web that adds so much to its ripe and pure fruit. The 2023 is lovely and beautifully balanced. (Bone-dry)
