Description
Product description for Du Coulet Vin de France “Petit Ours Blanc” 2023 (bio)
Wine Information
A blend of 60% Roussanne and 40% Marsanne, from vines planted on clay, silt, and sandy soils with a limestone base in the municipalities of Vallaurie, Allan, and Visan. Aging took place for 11 months in stainless steel vats.
Colour
Deep golden yellow with light coppery reflections.
Nose
This is an aromatic white wine, initially offering aromas of ripe apple, quince, pear, and yellow plum juice. The fruit then blends with light smoke and crushed rock, with a touch of matcha, broom, and a slightly peppery note reminiscent of anise and licorice in the background.
Palate
The “Little Bear” coats the palate entirely with ripe fruit, which presents itself aromatically similarly to the aroma. However, the spicy aspects of pepper, licorice, anise, and fennel are much more prominent here. The wine possesses fullness and a southern opulence combined with a polished texture. This is complemented by a fine, sustaining acidity.
