Nose

The aroma of the 2023 Nahesteiner Riesling reveals a brilliant fruitiness of apple, pear, mirabelle plum, and lime. With oxygen, notes of ginger and stony, smoky nuances emerge. An expression that already demonstrates great class on the nose, even in the entry-level segment.

Palate

Upon reaching the tongue, it literally grabs you with its density and juiciness, intensifying aromas of vineyard peach, orange, and a distinctive salty note. A fine tannin in the finish gives it a beautiful structure and makes it a wonderful food accompaniment. What a fantastic estate wine, what quality and at an almost outrageously low price!

The 2023 Riesling Nahesteiner is clear, intense and floral on the aromatic and elegant as well as iodine-inflected nose. Round and juicy on the palate, this is a crystalline, saline and stimulating pure and crunchy Riesling with a characterful and juicy, very elegant and stimulating saline, mouth-watering finish. 13% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted at the domaine in Burg Layen in February 2025.

The 2023 Riesling Nahesteiner is the Riesling calling card of the estate, made across several sites. The nose is an enticing mix of green and yellow apple, flinty stone, slate and freshly crushed yarrow. The palate is juicy, dry and has impressive concentration for an entry-level wine.
