The Domaine Clos Troteligotte was founded in 1987. Over the years, winemaker Emmanuel Rybinski has constantly educated himself. In 2010, it was clear to him that he had to switch completely to organic farming. In the meantime, he also applies biodynamic practices. Biodynamic certification is not possible, however, because the farm also includes a few wheat fields that are farmed by his neighbour, but not biodynamically. “In the vineyard, I work biodynamically mainly for quality reasons,” says Emmanuel, “but we also stand out from the crowd with the ageing in cement tanks and amphorae,” he continues. His success proves him right. A purer Malbec than the amphora-aged K-2 is hard to find.
