Description
Clos i Terrasses is the result of a daring investment by a woman who put all her eggs in one basket in 1988. Her name? Daphne Glorian. The investment? 17 parcels of old vines in Priorat. Her companions? René Barbier, Álvaro Palacios, Carles Pastrana, and Josep Lluís Pérez. Their achievement is nothing short of stupendous, and awakened the Priorat from its slumber. Daphne, who is Swiss German, vinified the first Clos Erasmus in 1988, and like the wines of her colleagues, it has long since become a cultural treasure. With Ester Nin’s commitment in 2004, Clos i Terrasses was converted to biodynamic cultivation. Today, Daphne’s winery bears the name Clos i Terrasses to honour Clos Erasmus as much as the terraces she now cultivates. In addition to the original Escales, these include the Aubagues and Socarrats, Guinarderes, and Solanes sites.
Free yourself from the convenient tyranny of other people’s tasting notes! We encourage you to find out about the wines from the producers themselves by visiting their website.
