The vines for Trebbiano d’Abruzzo come from contract cultivation and grow on lean clay-limestone soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed, and then macerated for 24 hours before being drawn off in stainless steel tanks and fermented spontaneously with their own yeasts.

Light straw yellow with a silvery rim.

Nose

On the nose, the 2024 Trebbiano d’Abruzzo from Francesco Cirelli is textbook Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, oscillating between ripe, juicy fruit and tart dried herbs. Melon, nectarine, and mellow yellow apples mingle with chamomile, dried sage, and bay leaf, along with a woven wreath of dried summer flowers.
