Fidora is a large farm and organic pioneer in Veneto. They have been practicing organic farming since 1974. Fidora owns three wineries: one in Valpolicella, one in Valdobbiadene, and the main estate, Civranetta. The estate covers a total of 160 hectares, of which 80 hectares are vineyards. However, to date, only a portion is cultivated and marketed. Civranetta is located near the coast, not far from the Venetian Lagoon. Here, on the famous Caranto soils, the Glera Prosecco grape thrives. It thrives on the loamy, alluvial soils on glacial sediments. The Romans were already aware of this. Viticulture has been practiced here for over 2,000 years. The mineral-rich soils give the grapes the necessary structure, and the cool breeze from the nearby sea ensures slow ripening that preserves the aromas. This produces a mineral-rich, delicate, and elegant Prosecco.
