Description
Barrat-Masson is a young Champagne project founded in 2010 by Loïc Barrat and his wife Aurélie Masson. They are based on the Côte de Sézanne, just south of the Côte des Blancs. They cultivate seven hectares of chalky and clay-based soils there, which have been certified organic since 2012. The Blanc de Blancs in particular comes from the heavily chalky soils, while the Pinot Noir is cultivated on more clay-based soils. Their wines reflect the terroir of the Sézannais very clearly and precisely, are juicy and definitely fruity, but also fresh and powerful, and you always find at least a hint of wood.
Free yourself from the convenient tyranny of other people’s tasting notes! We encourage you to find out about the wines from the producers themselves by visiting their website.
