Description
Artuke is a vineyard of almost 30 hectares in Rioja Alavesa, whose vineyards are up to 700 metres high, which is an absolute rarity in the region. Artuke is the winery of Arturo and Kike de Miguel Blanco, whose first names are reflected in the name. The two belong to the Rioja ‘n’ Roll group, who have committed themselves to a new Rioja style full of freshness and simultaneous elegance, which belongs neither to the historical nor the modernist style. Artuke’s vineyards are mixed sets of Tempranillo with varying proportions of Graciano, Viura, Palomino Fino and Garnacha. Their wines, from Vin de Soif to Grand Cru, are characterised by very pure fruit, crystal-clear acidity and a fine tannin. For Luis Guttiérez, Spain expert at Robert Parker, Artuke has developed into one of the best young family wineries in Rioja. He rates the wines accordingly high.
