Wine Information<\/h5>\n

The 8-year-old vines grow on a clay and loam terroir of sandstone, ferruginous flint, and limestone. <\/p>\n

Vineyard Information<\/h5>\n

The biodynamic winemaking method follows the lunar calendar; the meticulous hand-picking of the fully ripe grapes results in a yield of just 28 hl\/ha. The whole grapes are gently pressed, and the must ferments spontaneously with wild yeasts. The wine then matures for 12 months on the fine lees in Burgundy oak barriques and for a further 6 months in stainless steel. Minimal filtration before bottling. <\/p>\n

Colour<\/h5>\n

Brilliant light golden yellow with silvery highlights towards the rim. <\/p>\n

Nose<\/h5>\n

The 2022 Chenin Blanc from Anne Claude Leflaive displays an exotic potpourri of ripe pineapple, apricot, honeydew melon, and candied ginger on the nose. Thanks to the skillful use of wood, fine notes of vanilla, nougat, delicate caramel, and light tobacco are present and lend it additional facets. <\/p>\n

Palate<\/h5>\n

It is no less impressive on the tongue: power, juiciness, and density pair with intense minerality, a salty note, and fine tannins. The long finish is gigantic, showcasing the Chenin Blanc grape in its purest form. Dishes with intense spices and sauces are a trump card here. Very good aging potential.<\/p>\n
