Golden, bright straw yellow with light reflections and even perlage. <\/p>\n

Nose<\/h5>\n

The Chenin Blanc combines a variety of contrasting aromas that blend into a homogenous picture. Candied ginger and acacia honey dominate initially. These are followed by fruit, herbal spice, and balsamic components. Khaki, peach compote, and mango are very pleasantly dosed. Grapefruit and tangerines provide tart freshness. Lemon balm, marjoram, and oregano exude delicate ethereal accents. A touch of turmeric, Madras curry, and allspice add distinct spicy nuances. White pepper, as well as a hint of clove and cinnamon, enhance this. All these aromas are always underscored by a linear chalkiness. <\/p>\n

Palate<\/h5>\n

On the first sip, it appears much more masculine. Its tart side comes into its own brilliantly. The mousse wonderfully supports the fullness and melting quality at the beginning. Only then does the sparkling carbonation slowly set in to put a stop to this. However, this effervescent moment leaves enough time for the aromas to fully unfold. Its exotic spices dominate the still pleasantly portioned fruit. The spice clearly characterizes the finish. Its chalky terroir leaves its mark on the palate. As soon as the fruit opens up and you leave the spice and mousse behind, it coats the mouth with minerals\u2026 and it likes to repeat this every minute.<\/p>\n

The 2017 Brut Vouvray P\u00e9tillant is a lightly sparkling demi-sec style. This is a round and lightly biscuity expression with very fine delicate bubbles but not fully sparkling – the second fermentation uses some residual natural sugar that is retained from the first fermentation. Left on lees for around three years, it develops a light pastry character alongside floral notes and a salty sensation. The mouth-watering acidity combines with an attractive, textural roundness and weight.
