Perched above the estate’s tuffeau caves on the first south-facing Vouvray plateau is Le Mont, one of the appellation’s most prized vineyards, known for its history and long-lasting wines. <\/p>\n

Nine hectares of pebbly flint soil and deep green clay provide a unique expression of the Chenin Blanc variety. Its terroir brings out intensity and minerality, as well as a refined structure, supported by beautiful acidity. <\/p>\n

Nose<\/h5>\n

The 2018 Vouvray Le Mont 1\u00e8re Trie Moelleux offers aromas of dried apricots, orange zest, orange jam, quince, apple, white chocolate, and acacia honey. With a longer opening, immense fresh aromas of passion fruit and ginger emerge. Elegant, dense, and self-contained, this fascinating wine is at the very beginning of its development. <\/p>\n

Palate<\/h5>\n

On the palate, just as on the nose, you can recognize the complexity and facets of this noble sweet wine. In addition to its sweetness, it offers a fresh acidity, a penetrating minerality, a gripping saltiness, and stimulating spiciness. The long finish not only indicates its fantastic aging potential, but also that it is only just at the very beginning of its prime.
