Wine Information<\/h5>\n

The Vazart-Coquart “82\/16” Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru comes from Grand Cru vineyards in Chouilly. The Chardonnay vines there are on average 45 years old. The vines are deeply rooted in belemnite chalk. The winery was in the process of converting to sustainable and organic viticulture. The first certified organic harvest took place in 2020. This Champagne comes exclusively from the R\u00e9serve perp\u00e9tuelle, a solera begun in 1982, of which 40% is used and replenished each year. The last replenishing took place in 2016, when the base wine for this Champagne was extracted \u2013 hence “82\/16.” The base wine was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and underwent malolactic fermentation. The bottles were filled in May 2018. The champagne was disgorged in July 2022 with 0 grams of dosage. 1,690 bottles were produced. <\/p>\n

The 82\/16 is an elegant and fine champagne that, despite the oldest part of the solera being 36 years old at the time of bottling, appears fresh and extremely lively. The Blanc de Blancs offers notes of vanilla croissants and fruit bread, almond cream, linden blossoms, and a hint of lemon curd and yuzu. <\/p>\n

Palate<\/h5>\n

With its high R\u00e9serve content, the wine also appears impressively fresh on the palate, but also provides ripe fruit and autolysis notes. It’s a champagne with finesse, silkiness, and charm, with rounded stone fruit notes, red berries, and citrus and zest notes, as well as a pleasant acidity that harmonizes perfectly with the elegant mousse. The finish, in addition to the fruit, offers a hint of vanilla, as well as a touch of mocha and lightly toasted nuts. A fine wine!<\/p>\n
