The plots are secured by dry-stone walls up to 4 meters high. The 20- to 30-year-old vines come from a mass selection. It was fermented spontaneously to 1.6 grams of residual sugar. It was aged for 18 months in French barriques with 35% new wood. <\/p>\n<h5>Colour<\/h5>\n<p> Medium cherry red <\/p>\n<h5>Nose<\/h5>\n<p> The Schlossberg Sp\u00e4tburgunder is an extremely juicy, dark-fruity wine, highly complex even on the nose, yet fleshy and deep. At the same time, it is not at all overloaded, but rather precisely crafted, lively, juicy, and inviting. A haze of smoke and roses, nuts, and an elegant wood spice hangs over the ripe, dark cherry fruit. <\/p>\n<h5>Palate<\/h5>\n<p> On the palate, this is a wine whose acidity and tannin structure already seem so integrated that you&#8217;ll struggle to let it sit for long, even though doing so will add dimension.
