Now they have decided to return to their home in the Ahr region and concentrate fully on Julia&#8217;s parents&#8217; winery. The balancing act between Franconia and the Ahr proved too great. Now they will implement their ideas of organic viticulture on the extremely steep slopes around Dernau. They converted in the very first year; the goal is biodynamic certification, and both dream of being able to implement permaculture with sheep in the vineyard here. The winery boasts some of the best locations on the Ahr, and Benny conjures up very fine Pinot with depth, always balanced, never loud, but always full of expression and enjoyable to drink. For us, the new star in the sky above the Ahr. <\/p>\n<h5>Wine Information<\/h5>\n<p> The hand-picked grapes were spontaneously fermented in local oak barrels and then bottled unfined and unfiltered. <\/p>\n<h5>Colour<\/h5>\n<p> Muted cherry red with distinct violet reflections. <\/p>\n<h5>Nose<\/h5>\n<p> This 2021 Ahrweiler Pinot Noir is a true seducer: sour cherries, small pale berries, wild raspberries, and elderberries enchant with their freshness. Dark and sweet blossoms further underline its extremely fine character; you&#8217;ll want to try it straight away. <\/p>\n<h5>Palate<\/h5>\n<p> On the tongue, it is fruity and mineral, playful and feminine, yet pleasantly taut and concise. A Pinot Noir that whets the appetite for pairing with food and for another glass.
