Product description for Sottimano Pairolero, Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore 2023 <\/p>\n

The Azienda Agricola Sottimano was founded in the 1960s by Rino Sottimano and is located in the Cott\u00e0 vineyard. In the following decades, the estate expanded to include the Curr\u00e0, Fausoni, Basarin, and Pajor\u00e9 crus. Today, it is run by his son Andrea and his sisters Elena and Claudia. Located in the triangle formed by Barbaresco, Neive, and Treiso, Sottimano has been practicing biodynamic practices for years.
Fermentation is spontaneous with the wine’s own yeasts; maceration typically lasts 25 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place spontaneously in French oak barrels. The wines age for 15 months in tonneau vats and are bottled unfined and unfiltered. <\/p>\n

The 2023 Pairolero Barbera d’Alba Superiore from Sottimano boasts, as usual, rich, ripe fruit: black cherries, blackberries, and mulberries alongside purple plums fill its fruit basket. Added to this are a touch of elderberry and the crema of fresh espresso as a slightly spicy counterpart. Open-hearted and inviting, no glass remains dry. <\/p>\n

Mouth<\/h5>\n

Super-juicy on the first sip, the Pairolero immediately floods the mouth: the rich cherry is disciplined by the ripe, radiant acidity, and the ripe tannins contour it precisely on the tongue. Energetic with a ruby-red shimmer and great radiance, it flows with a medium body across the palate. A high-performance Barbera year after year!<\/p>\n
