Product description for J\u00e9r\u00f4me Galeyrand Fixin “Champs de Vosger” AOP 2022 <\/p>\n

J\u00e9r\u00f4me Galeyrand is a Loire native who changed careers. He came to the region in the 1990s and initially worked for Alain Burguet and Vincent Geantet before purchasing his first 0.05-hectare plot in 2001. Today, he cultivates approximately 5.25 hectares, with a particular focus on vine genetics. J\u00e9r\u00f4me Galeyrand works without technological or oenological processes, uses no industrial yeast, glue, or enzymes, and only the necessary amount of sulfur. He believes that producing a great wine requires the combination of three essential elements: great terroir, the vine’s DNA with its remarkable genetic heritage, and a winemaker who respects all of this. The vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, are plowed, harvested by hand, and even the lunar cycles are taken into account. Galeyrand’s vineyards have been certified organic since 2019. The Fixin comes from the Les Champs de Vosger vineyard below the town and grows on light, sandy soils. Mostly destemmed, it is fermented in tanks and then aged in 228-liter barrels with only a small proportion of new wood. <\/p>\n

Nose<\/h5>\n

The 2022 Champs de Vosger Fixin from J\u00e9r\u00f4me Galeyrand has a transparent aroma of small red fruits, wild raspberries, small strawberries, and wild blueberries. The nose exudes the impression of a silky, loose-knit wine with delicate floral top notes of orange blossom and violet lilac. Invigoratingly light-footed and a bit kinky. <\/p>\n

Palate<\/h5>\n

It also shines on the palate with silky transparency and delicate, fine fruit. Open-hearted and very approachable, the fruit shines in rich ruby on the palate, complemented by subtle notes of licorice and tarragon, flanked by elegant tannins that line the tongue. With a medium-bodied nature and a rapid flow, the bottle empties in no time.<\/p>\n
