Info<\/h5>\n

This Pinot Noir vineyard is located in Haute-Sa\u00f4ne, with a density of 5,000 vines per hectare on limestone and clay soils. The appellation is IGP Vin de Franche-Comt\u00e9. The vines are on average 30 years old and produce a yield of approximately 25 hl per hectare. The whole grapes are fermented on the skins in cement tanks for 15 days. The wine is aged for 18 months in used oak barrels without the addition of sulfur. The wines are aged at the winery in Savigny-L\u00e8s-Beaune, Burgundy. <\/p>\n

Colour<\/h5>\n

Dark, bright cherry red with violet reflections. <\/p>\n

Nose<\/h5>\n

The nose is full of warm, inviting fruit. Raspberry, mulberry, blackberry, and plenty of sweet cherry dominate. Rosehip and red fruit tea join in. These aromas transport it to deeper realms. Red earth, a high iron content, and iodine are noticeable. Cranberry and fig contribute a nuance of dried fruit. Red pepper, along with juniper and allspice, provide a well-dosed spice. Somewhat damp forest floor and undergrowth complement this very subtly. <\/p>\n

Palate<\/h5>\n

It presents itself in this subtle way on the palate as well. The fruit seems noticeably inhibited. A high degree of velvety structure paired with very fine-pored tannins are its elementary components. It repeatedly combines this elegance with its ferrous character and iodine traits. As a result, the red fruit aromas, whether in tea or as fruit, seem significantly more mature and not in the least bit kitschy.<\/p>\n
