Nose

Bruant is made from 100% Pansa blanca, also known as Xarel-lo. The nose is captivating with notes of toasted brown bread spread with plenty of butter and honey. Ginger and candied and grilled pineapple are a wonderful complement. Apricots, mirabelle plums, and unripe banana remain discreetly in the background. Yellow blossoms and a gentle maritime breeze are also mentioned. The short lees aging has left only subtle traces. It appears tidy, chalky, and clear.

Palate

Bruant is invigorating and uplifting. The palate is initially dominated by the effervescent, effervescent carbon dioxide. However, this mixture quickly dissolves again on the palate, opening the stage for the essentials. The wine behind the carbon dioxide is racy and lean. Xarel-lo has little aromatic potential per se, but is all the more inclined to have a rich mouthfeel. It appears stony, grassy, and almost salty. In addition, a hint of banana emerges wonderfully retronasally, without attempting to convey sweetness or richness. This form of banana appears green, crisp, and exciting. The finish is stony and clear again. A nuance of chalk and smokiness sets the final chord.
