Die Lage Les Quarts geh\u00f6rt zweifelsohne zu den besten Terroirs der Appellation Pouilly-Vinzelles. Der traumhaft gelegene Weinberg ist nach S\u00fcdosten ausgerichtet und verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber 48 bis 80 Jahre alte Chardonnay-Reben auf kiesel- und vor allem eisenhaltigem Lehm- und Kalkboden aus dem Bajocium (Jura). Es sind langlebige, ausgewogene Weine, die dort entstehen. Handlese vom 24. Bis 25. August 2020, Ganztraubenpressung und Spontanverg\u00e4rung, danach Ausbau \u00fcber 17 Monate zun\u00e4chst in pi\u00e8ces f\u00fcr elf Monate und dann in Fudern mit 100 % malolaktischer G\u00e4rung. Der zugesetzte Schwefel betr\u00e4gt 40 mg\/l. <\/p>\n

Der Les Quarts ist ein s\u00fcdlicher Burgunder, der in 2020 jedoch beeindruckend hell und knackig ausf\u00e4llt. Er erinnert in seiner Aromatik an wei\u00dfe Bl\u00fcten, an Bleistiftabrieb mit Grafit und Holz, etwas Oregano und Verbene, blanchierte Mandeln und gelbe wie auch gr\u00fcne Zitrusfr\u00fcchte. Das wirkt lebendig, frisch, klar sowie pr\u00e4zise und schlie\u00dft nach zwei etwas volleren, aber ebenfalls immer ausgewogenen Jahrg\u00e4ngen vor allem an 2017 an. <\/p>\n

Gaumen<\/h5>\n

Am Gaumen ist der Wein typisch kraftvoll und fest mit einem leichten Gerbstoff und einer in diesem Jahr besonders druckvollen intensiven S\u00e4ure, die f\u00fcr Spannung sorgt. Erstaunlich ist, dass der Wein zu 100 % eine malolaktische G\u00e4rung mitgemacht hat. Bei den Bret-Br\u00fcdern wird auf den Punkt genau gelesen, sodass sich das Zitrisch-Herbe mit dem Seidigen des Hefeausbaus, dem Gerbstoff und einer gewissen Fleischigkeit zu einem sehr gelungenen Ganzen verbindet.<\/p>\n
