Informationen zum Wein<\/h5>\n

Das Wort e\u00faxenos stammt aus dem Altgriechischen und bedeutet gastfreundlich. Es war auf einigen Weinamphoren eingraviert, die aus einem Schiffswrack aus dem Jahr 300 v. Chr. im Jahr 1996 wenige hundert Meter vor der K\u00fcste von Lipari geborgen wurden. Dieser E\u00faxenos genannte Wein ist ein Malvasia delle Lipari vom vulkanischen Sand. Die im Alberello-System erzogenen B\u00e4umchen stehen auf 350 Metern Seeh\u00f6he. Ihre Trauben wurden in den letzten Septembertagen von Hand gelesen. Nach dem Abbeeren und sanften Zerkleinern der Trauben erfolgte die spontane G\u00e4rung in einer Cocciopesto-Amphore. G\u00e4rung und Mazeration mit regelm\u00e4\u00dfig eingetauchtem Tresterhut dauerten etwa 60 Tage. Danach reifte der Wein f\u00fcr weitere zehn Monate in Amphoren. <\/p>\n

Die Nase dieses Amphoren-Weines erinnert an wei\u00dfen Pfirsich, kandierte Ananas und Feige, in Honig geschwenkte Mandeln sowie Fenchel, Thymian und Macchia. Der Wein erweist sich als intensiv, ernsthaft und doch charmant. <\/p>\n

Gaumen<\/h5>\n

Am Gaumen wirkt der E\u00faxenos intensiv und vielschichtig. Zur Frucht kommen hier noch gelbe Kiwis und Grapefruits samt Schale hinzu. Beeindruckend ist aber vor allem der markante Gerbstoff, der hervorragend eingebunden ist, von viel Saft und F\u00fclle sowie von einer lebendigen S\u00e4ure begleitet wird, die ordentlichen Druck bietet. All das ist bei dem Wein sehr gut balanciert.<\/p>\n
