Reinsortig wurde die Sorte so gut wie nie ausgebaut, bevor Claude und Nelly, die Gr\u00fcnder der Domaine Clau de Nell, das machten und zeigten, dass daraus ein so urw\u00fcchsiger wie eleganter und alterungsw\u00fcrdiger Wein von gro\u00dfem Charakter entstehen kann. Die Rebst\u00f6cke dieses Grolleau sind rund 55 Jahre alt, es wurden aber in den letzten Jahren noch weitere gepflanzt. Sie stehen in lehmig schluffigem Boden auf Sandstein sowie in rotem Feuerstein auf Tuffeau (Kalkstein).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Der Ertrag liegt bei gerade einmal 25 hl\/ha. Die Trauben wurden von Hand in 12-Kilo-Kisten gelesen. Sie wurden entrappt und \u00fcber 30 Tage hinweg mit nur seltenem Umpumpen vergoren. Der Ausbau erfolgte dann f\u00fcr 30 % des Weines \u00fcber zw\u00f6lf Monate auf der Feinhefe in burgundischen\u00a0<i>Pi\u00e8ces<\/i>\u00a0von f\u00fcnf bis sieben Jahren, f\u00fcr weitere 70 % in gro\u00dfen Fudern. Die Cuv\u00e9e reifte dann noch einmal f\u00fcr ein halbes Jahr im Edelstahl.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5>Farbe<\/h5>\n<p>Dichtes Purpur, violette Reflexe<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5>Nase<\/h5>\n<p>Tief und dunkel mutet er an. der Grolleau von Clau de Nell zeigt Schwarzkirschen, Brombeere und Heidelbeeren. Viel Lakritz, dunkle Schokolade und warmes Leder. Deutlich pr\u00e4gen ihn Zimt, Wacholder, schwarzer Pfeffer und Eukalyptus. Im Hintergrund schwingt etwas holziges mit, das an Johannisbeerstrauchholz erinnert. Getrocknete Brombeerbl\u00e4tter und Gr\u00fcntee runden ihn ab.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5>Gaumen<\/h5>\n<p>Typisch f\u00fcr einen Loire rouge fasziniert die geniale Kombination aus Saftigkeit, Tannin und Mineralit\u00e4t. Voll auf der Frucht sorgt er durch sein Wesen f\u00fcr Verlangen und Trinkfluss. Das Tannin zeigt sich zur\u00fcckhaltend und angenehm. Wie in Seide geh\u00fcllt schmeichelt er dem Gaumen. Samtig und k\u00fchl zugleich kleidet er den Mundraum. Herrlich. Voller Eleganz und Tiefe. Die dunkle Beerenaromatik und seine vielf\u00e4ltige W\u00fcrze kommen wunderbar durch. Die S\u00e4ure ist wohl balanciert und gekonnt integriert.
