Der Weinberg befindet sich auf 590 Metern H\u00f6he in der baskischen Rioja Alavesa. In dieser Subzone findet man die Rebsorte Garnacha heutzutage nur noch extrem selten, wenn \u00fcberhaupt, dann in sehr alten Weinbergen wie diesem; die Reben sind 98 bis 113 Jahre alt. Die Parzelle ist freiliegend und somit ungesch\u00fctzt dem Nordwind Cierzo ausgesetzt. Dazu kommt ein atlantisch-mediterranes Mischklima. Der Boden besteht aus Mergel- und Sandsteinb\u00f6den mit einem hohen Eisenoxidgehalt. Winzer Roberto Oliv\u00e1n l\u00e4sst die Trauben spontan in offenen Bottichen verg\u00e4ren und baut den Wein neun Monate in gebrauchten Holzf\u00e4ssern aus. 1.626 Flaschen wurden vom Jahrgang 2023 abgef\u00fcllt. <\/p>\n<h5>Farbe<\/h5>\n<p> Kirschrot <\/p>\n<h5>Nase<\/h5>\n<p> Das Bukett bietet eine reife rote Frucht, etwa Kirsche, wie man es mit der Rebsorte Garnacha verbindet. Dazu kommt ein Mix an aromatischen Kr\u00e4utern wie Thymian und Oregano. Insgesamt ist die Nase sehr frisch und sinnlich und so klar wie ein Gebirgsbach. <\/p>\n<h5>Gaumen<\/h5>\n<p> Der Auftakt ist elegant mit seidiger Textur und weichen, feinen Tanninen. Eine pfeffrige W\u00fcrze bildet einen sch\u00f6nen Kontrast zur reifen roten Frucht. Der Alkohol von 15 % ist hervorragend eingebunden und steht in einem sch\u00f6nem Gleichgewicht zur S\u00e4ure und dem mittleren, eleganten K\u00f6rper. Alles wirkt sehr rein und klar, von etwaigen Holznoten ist nichts zu sp\u00fcren.
