The winemaking couple Alain and Agnès Carrere from the small village of Caudiès Fenouillèdes cultivate the vineyards that belonged to their grandfathers. The valley at the foot of the Pyrenees lies at an altitude of 350 to 400 meters. The prevailing Tramuntana, a northeasterly wind, ensures that the vineyards are well-ventilated even in summer. Cult South African winemaker Tom Lubbe (Domaine Matassa) was engaged as a consultant. The wines are mineral and have a pleasant freshness that is rarely found in the region.
